This is my story.
I was educated in Edinburgh, then Glasgow University. I worked in the arts, on both marketing and administration.
I worked at Assembly, where I once lost 26 Indian dancers in Belgium.
I ran the Book Festival Press Office. In a tent. In the rain.
At Telewest, I headed the UK launch of Cable Internet in 1996 at a super speedy 33kbps.
I gave a neglected house an eco chic makeover to create a boutique apartment for rent.
I buy local and eat organic. I believe in community. I fear climate change. I like things which are made by hand.
My crochet hook and a ball of yarn are never very far away.
So what do I do? I promote sustainable design and eco craft through projects, events and networking. I assist people who aspire to save the planet through their business. I write green copy, offer ethical marketing support and collaborate on eco projects.
For example. Frugal Cool promotes the use of old materials to create new, useful and fabulous things. We find out how materials are made.
And building a global online community for Chechu Rubiera started as a labour of love. It's now a phenomenon. We're just about on Facebook.
