Above all, it's got to be stylish

Finding the right words to describe our eco design project Frugal Cool isn't always easy.

A year ago, we started with "local sustainable design" and whilst this is still valid, it sounds a bit stodgy and I think the language for green discussions has moved on.

"Re" is sooo now! I use it all the time ... recycled, repurposed, renewable, reused, remade. It seems to do the job.

Remade by hand in Scotland. My current favourite, and we'll develop it within the brand in 2010.

If we want to be innovators in a competitive eco design business, we need to develop a language and design as stylish as the products themselves.

Every day, we seek out worldwide trends in fashion and literature, in the environment and even in politics. Every day, it seems there's a wow moment when something is so simple and so stylish, it's pure genius.

Our new pop-up exhibition - ReMADE - hopes to capture some local genius. Why not "pop" along.
